PORSCHE 356 SUPER 90

Love it or hate it.

When it comes to the category of low, we feel there’s stance and there’s tasteful. As a wheel manufacturer we certainly care about both. But to be honest, when building our own cars, we lean in the direction of tasteful. We know our project 1960 Porsche 356 may be a tad too low, has quite a bit camber, and would make a nostalgic Porsche fan cringe, but we assure you it’s still quite functional and not a single piece of metal was harmed in the process. Sitting on a custom air strut suspension masterminded by our friends at Sadistic Ironworks, this car works rather nicely and sits like no other 356 we’ve seen. The mission was to drive extremely low, and park even lower.

When it came to the wheels, we were excited to enter a new market with the forged Wide-5 configuration. As with any custom wheel, much consideration went into sizing and fitment to get it just right. The lines and arches of the Super 90 beg to be close to the ground. Fitting 17×6.5 3-piece wheels allowed us to do just that, while still nodding towards aftermarket. When in motion, the car looks as if it’s hovering an inch off the ground. Just the way we like it.

The wheels, which we cleverly named the 356, were left in their original CNC milled state, while the outer lips were polished to a high luster finish. We felt keeping an overall industrial feel, with a touch of shine, correlated with such a mechanical looking chassis and the original Dolphin Grey exterior.

We hope you feel it’s as tasteful as we do.
